At ACT, we are inspired on a daily basis by the artwork that lands on our desk. We know that the seeds of creativity were planted early on in life for most of the artists who we are lucky enough to work with, and we decided long ago that we wanted to do all that we could to keep this circle of creativity flowing.

Today’s public schools often lack the necessary resources needed for students to creatively thrive. For many kids, the only exposure they have to the art world is at school. However, when budget cuts are constantly pummeling arts education; those opportunities are not only threatened, but in many cases, taken away. We believe that art is an essential part of a child’s life and education.

“Art does not solve problems, but makes us aware of their existence,” sculptor Magdalena Abakanowicz has said. However, problems can be solved by arts education. It is a fact that kids who are immersed in arts on a regular basis have increased test scores in math, reading, critical thinking, and science. Teaching kids that being creative and pushing the envelope artistically allows them to use those same talents in other parts of their lives. We believe that arts education is the key to solving many of the problems we face today in our world.

We are so grateful to the amazing artists and enthusiasts involved in ACT. Together, we can give back to our beloved arts community and continue to keep the creative spirit alive!
